Registration for the 2010 Logan Peak Trail Run

Registration is now open for the 2010 Logan Peak Trail race, which will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010. This is a tough 28 mile mountain trail race on predominantly singletrack and jeep trail with 7200+ feet of vertical gain/descent. Located in the Cache-Wasatch National Forest of northern Utah, the scenery is spectacular. The course follows a modified lollipop pattern in which Logan Dry Canyon makes up the stem, and the loop is formed by circumnavigating Logan Peak. Midway through the loop, runners climb to and descend from the peak.

Kelly Bradbury first organized this race three years ago. Scott Datwyler and I are the race directors for 2010. This year we are offering online registration through UltraSignup.com. The race will be capped at 100 runners.

Bruce- quick question- are you expecting there to be some sort of cap for the Bear this year? If so, how many runners?

Last year the Bear was capped at 150 (although we had informal permission to exceed that cap by a little bit after Angeles Crest 100 was canceled). I imagine this year the cap will also be 150, and I expect we'll hit the cap this time. As the race gets larger, the logistics of aid stations, etc become more and more difficult, so 150 is actually a pretty sensible limit.

That sounds good. Definitely don't want the race to get too large. I'll just keep an eye on the entrants page and register before it fills up.
