Bruce R. Copeland, PhD is Owner and Chief Technology Officer for CyberSym Technologies. He has a broad research background in biophysics, biochemistry, molecular genetics, engineering, computer science, and medicine.

When not driving a desk, he can frequently be found running the trails and ridgetops of the Wasatch Mountains—often accompanied by one of his sled dogs. He began running trails in 1975, and currently races ultramarathons at the 50K, 50 mile, and 100 mile distances. He has extensive experience in endurance competition, having also previously raced road bicycles, mountain bikes, and nordic skis. Though now too old to be truly competitive as an ultrarunner, he continues to apply his endurance exercise experience and knowledge of biochemistry and medicine to improve the ultrarunning experience for runners of all ages.
